Pharmacists in al-Bukamal lacked Nan and Kikoz baby formula amidst high prices of other kinds. The pharmacist Muhammad al-Badran who is close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) militia monopolizes baby formula, distributes it for his favor, and control prices of distributing it in al-Bukamal and its countryside.
Due to his close relation with the IRGC militia, al-Badran monopolizes medicine and health equipment amidst medicine rarity and high prices, as people continue to suffer due to poor medical conditions.
