The Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia (IRG) removed the rubble of civilians’ houses and shops in the city of al-Bukamal, eastern Deir Ezzor. Deash used the shops and houses as headquarters when it was controlling al-Bukamal.
IRG’ bulldozers and machines removed the rubble of four houses in the al-Jam’iyat and al-Hajanah neighborhoods. Previous warplanes’ bombings destroyed the houses.
The IRG controls al-Buakamal and runs its affairs despite Assad forces’ limited presense. The IRG does not consult with the Assad regime about taking decisions concerning al-Bukamal.
