On Wednesday, November 18, Hizbollah militia withdrew from several points in the vicinity the “Open-Heart surgery” hospital in the Corniche area of Deir Ezzor city to al-Rusafa neighborhood, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that groups of Liwaa al-Quds militia filled the points evacuated by “Hezbollah” militia, as yesterday afternoon, a group of Hezbollah militia known as “al-Khedher Battalion” withdrew from three points in the vicinity of the “Open Heart” hospital to al-Rusafa neighborhood after receiving orders from the militia leadership to do so. The number of forces withdrawn was estimated at about 40 members and 8 vehicles. Members of Liwaa al-Quds militia filled the evacuated points under the supervision of a man nicknamed “The Volcano”, the deputy commander of Liwaa al-Quds Militia in Deir Ezzor.
The reason for this sudden change is not known, especially that Hezbollah militia is supported by Iran, and Liwaa al-Quds militia is supported by Russia.
