On Thursday, November 19, 2020, an Iranian media team visited the city of al-Bukamal, eastern Deir Ezzor. An Assad’s regime media delegation accompanied the team.
A source told Deir Ezzor 24 that the team’s visit is a prelude to the arrival of a filming mission of an Iranian production company. The aim of the visit is to film scenes in al-Bukamal of an Iranian film about Iranian resistance.
The team toured al-Bukamal neighborhoods amidst escort and austere security measures by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps militia. The team surveyed people’s views of the so-called Iranian resistance, particularly Qasem Suleimani. The team gave money for those whose answers fit with the team’s ends.
Iranian television channels visit al-Bukamal constantly, as Iran considers the city its capital in Eastern Syria.
