D24 exclusive:
Two days ago, the Assad’s forces arrested a young man in Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside after he had signed settlement under local mediation.
Local sources confirmed that the young man entered Al-Mayadeen city through the river crossings between the Assad’s forces and the Syrian Democratic forces.
The sources noted that the young man, who D24 network prefer to keep him unnamed, signed settlement with the Iranian militias, who ensured that he would not be prosecuted by the Assad regime.
The sources indicated that the young man was arrested hours after he entered Al-Mayadeen city east of Deir Ezzor, and that he was transferred to the military security branch in Deir Ezzor city.
After receiving promises form the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, figures belonging to the Iranian militias had ensured that the young man would not be prosecuted if he joined the Guards militia in Deir Ezzor.
Local figures have tried to mediate to release him, but the military security branch called on them not to intervene, or they will all be arrested.
It is indicated that the Assad’s forces have arrested scores of youths who have signed settlement, on many charges, including: “the existence of lawsuits against them, incitement to murder, and dealing with terrorists” as the Assad regime claims.
