Garbage disposal can be easily noticed in every corner of the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, which led to the proliferation of rodents, insects, and stray dogs, according to a reporter of DeirEzzor24.
According to our reporter,his has led to the spread of various diseases, especially respiratory and skin diseases. On the other hand, the municipality is reluctant to remove piles of garbage from the streets and neighborhoods of Al-Mayadeen, citing a shortage of workers and vehicle breakdowns as excuses.
Residents are resorting to burning the garbage or transporting it to areas far from residential neighborhoods at their own expense to minimize its impact on life and the harm it causes.
