Dr. Yusuf Zu’ayyin from the city of Albu Kamal, a former prime minister of Syria, has passed away in Sweden

Yusuf Zu’ayyun from Albu Kamal who was once a former prime minister of Syria passed away in Sweden today. He was born in 1931, and was appointed as prime minister for the first time in 1956; and for the second between 1966 and 1968.

Dr.Yusuf was detained for 11 years following Hafez Assad coup in 1970, and was released in 1981 after suffering from a disease. He was treated in Great Britain and after his recovery; he moved to live in Hungary and then Sweden.Yusuf_Zuayyin
