DeirEzzor24 network has documented 15 cases of drowning in the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor since the beginning of this year.
The latest drowning case documented by DeirEzzor24 belongs to the 14-year-old child, Raad Al-Hajeej, who drowned in the waters of the Euphrates River off the city of Al-Asharah in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, yesterday, and searches are still underway for the body.
While 9 cases of drowning were documented in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and 6 in the eastern countryside and in the city of Deir Ezzor.
It is noteworthy that the causes of drowning in the documented cases were divided between swimming in the Euphrates River, and the sinking of transport ferries and smuggling boats.
