The Russian military command at the Hmeimim base has appointed Brigadier General “Abdul-Jabbar Abdullah” as commander of the Fifth Brigade in the Fifth Storming Corps of the Russian First Division, which is deployed in the villages and towns of Deir Ezzor in the east of the Euphrates.
The correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network said that the Fifth Brigade is in charge of guarding the Russian Reconciliation Center and protecting the war bridge in Deir Ezzor, in addition to other tasks assigned to it by the Russian forces.
Al-Abdullah comes from the city of Al-Qusayr in Homs province, and was appointed, according to sources, based on the services and loyalty he provided to the Assad regime.
It should be pointed out that Brigadier General “Abdul Karim Khair Bek” has been retained as the commander of the Seventh Brigade, which is stationed in the city of Al-Mayadin, east of Deir Ezzor, and several sites in the Shamiya desert, as well as a new deployment on the Deir Ezzor-Damascus road, about 5 km south of Panorama.
