The Transport Directorate in Deir Ezzor continues to implement technical procedures aimed at addressing cases of wear or damage to vehicle chassis numbers. These procedures are being carried out by specialized technical committees under the supervision of the Transport Director, Engineer Najdat Al-Saleh.
The measures include engraving new chassis numbers when necessary and following the legal process in more complex cases, which may involve referring files to the traffic court. These steps are taken to protect vehicle owners’ rights and ensure the accuracy and integrity of registered data.
In a related context, the Directorate of Transport and Communications in Deir ez-Zor has announced the start of receiving requests for the transfer of ownership of vehicles with “test” license plates. Meanwhile, for older vehicles, procedures are limited to license renewal without the possibility of ownership transfer.
The directorate has also conducted field campaigns to inspect numerous types of vehicles. These campaigns aim to enhance road safety and ensure compliance with the established traffic regulations and instructions. The inspections included checking the technical condition of vehicles, verifying chassis numbers, and detecting violations such as the installation of illegal tinted windows (film).
The directorate confirmed that these procedures are part of efforts to reduce traffic violations and improve the quality of vehicles on the roads, thereby contributing to increased public safety . Citizenss were urged to cooperate with field inspection teams to ensure the success of the campaign and the achievement of its intended goals.
