Daesh attacked multiple barracks and headquarters belonging to Assad forces in Al-Muwadafine and Al-Jabilah neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city this morning.
“The organization detonated two VBIEDs targeting positions of Assad forces in Al-Muwadafine Al-Jabilah neighborhoods, which was followed by heavy clashes with heavy artillery and medium weaponry between both parties.” A D24 correspondent indicated today.
He added, “Clashes have been raging in multiple areas in Deir Ezzor city since early morning, leading both parties to sustain casualties.”
In response to the attack, Assad forces intensively bombarded Daesh-held areas in Deir Ezzor city, utilizing heavy artillery and mortar. Daesh has also targeted regime-controlled Al-Joura and Al-Qusour with more than ten mortar shells so far.
