Daesh has succeeded in gaining control over multiple oil wells in the eastern and northern countryside of Deir Ezzor following heavy clashes against SDF.
According to a D24 correspondent, Daesh launched a surprise attack against SDF, capturing Al-Bassam, Al-Dahsh, Al-Hariji oil wells in the desert of Al-Hariji town (northern Deir Ezzor) and Beer Hassan well in the eastern countryside.
SDF have not released any statement denying the new Daesh gains in the province.
Daesh attacked the oil wells because they are being used by SDF as supply lines for their manpower stationed across the area.
