DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
DeirEzzor24 network has reported the ongoing suffering of the residents of Deir Ezzor city and its countryside when it comes to bread in areas under the control of the Assad regime.
According to a local DeirEzzor24 reporter, the people’s suffering ranges from poor-quality bread and weight shortages to random distribution among the delegates. Delegates often refuse to distribute bread throughout the week, and they manipulate the allocated quantities for larger families. Delegates sometimes resort to selling stolen quantities at unregulated prices or drying the bread and selling it as animal feed.
It’s worth noting that the negligence and corruption of bakery owners and distribution delegates are a result of the complicity and negligence of the Deir Ezzor Supply Directorate, in addition to the control exerted by the Assad forces and militias over bakeries.
