The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in the Hasakah area announced the imposition of a comprehensive ban on the movement of motorcycles within the city of Hasakah, against the backdrop of what it described as an increase in violations related to their misuse during the recent period.
A statement issued by the leadership explained that the decision came based on “the requirements of maximum security necessity” and with the aim of maintaining civil peace and enhancing stability, noting the monitoring of an increase in incidents of random shooting using motorcycles, in addition to recording injuries among civilians, and their use in illegal activities that affect the security of society.
Under the resolution, motorcycles of all types, civilian and military, are prohibited from roaming within the administrative borders of the city of Hasakah, provided that the decision enters into force immediately upon its issuance and continues until further notice, according to an assessment of the security situation.
The statement stressed that the competent authorities will apply strict legal procedures against violators, including immediately seizing the violating bicycles and imposing financial fines on their owners in accordance with approved legal procedures.
The General Command called on residents to cooperate with the security forces and adhere to the decision, stressing that these measures come within the framework of maintaining public security and safety in the city.
