The crews of the Lighting Department of the Raqqa City Council continue their work at an accelerated pace to complete the southern entrance lighting project, as part of a plan aimed at developing the infrastructure and improving the level of services provided to citizens.
The technical teams are working to implement the final stages of the project according to the specified timetable, in preparation for putting the lighting system into service during the coming period, which will contribute to enhancing traffic safety, improving the urban landscape, and securing the southern entrance to the city during the night hours.
In a related context, the Fees Division continues to carry out its daily field tours in the markets to follow up on the removal of encroachments and occupancies that impede traffic and occupy sidewalks and public roads, as part of the Council’s efforts to maintain public order and improve the urban appearance.
These tours aim to ensure smooth pedestrian and vehicle movement, and to monitor the extent to which shop owners adhere to the applicable regulations and instructions, which will reflect positively on the service and organizational status within the city.
