Well-informed sources confirmed to the Deir Ezzor 24 Network that the Palestinian Hamza al-Hussein abu al-Abbas, who is the commander of the al-Baqer militia’ task force, was transported to hospital in Damascus on the background of his critical health condition as he was infected with Coronavirus days ago.
Most of the militia’ fighters are from the al-Bakara tribe in the city of Deir Ezzor and its perimeter; however, most of the tribe’s people and sheikhs oppose such practices and disavow the fighters who join the militia.
Based in al-Baloura in Aleppo, the al-Baqer militia is one of the largest pro-Assad militias. It is a part of the networks of the National Defense (ND) militia. The Tribal Resistance Units in Aleppo were founded under the umbrella of the militia.
Cases of Coronavirus have recently spread among the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps militias located in Deir Ezzpr, despite receiving the Russian vaccine, which did not show effectiveness, while the Iranian militia’s media are silent on the number and names of the infected fighters, especially from the leaders, while news circulates of dozens of infected commanders of .Hezbollah and Fatemiyoun militias, in light of the poor medical capabilities in Iranian field hospitals.
