DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Today, the law enforcement police and a patrol from the Criminal Branch carried out a campaign of raids and arrests on the towns of Khasham and Al-Tabieh, Jazira, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Our correspondent said that the raids targeted people who did not provide the required percentage of wheat to the wheat collection centers.
In a related context, a group of residents of the city of Al-Ashara, east of Deir Ezzor, expelled police patrols during their raid on the city, two days ago, and confronted them with weapons, threatening to leave the city and head to SDF-controlled areas.
Our correspondent said that the raid was aimed at arresting farmers who refrained from importing wheat, knowing that the percentage of supply in Al-Ashara and the nearby towns did not exceed 50 kg per acre.
The number of heads of agricultural associations arrested so far is about 20 heads of associations. They were arrested by order of the governor of Deir Ezzor, because their regions did not achieve the quantities of wheat estimated by the Assad regime.
