Sites supporting the Assad regime published that Al-Furat University, whose headquarter is in Deir Ezzor, has uncovered falsification cases in the students’ records in the previous years.
According to these pro-regime sites, the falsification was done through bribes given to employees at the Faculty of Law in Deir Ezzor.
A large number of students at the Faculty of Law in Al-Furat University obtained graduation certificates from the college, and they had not passed the exams, so they had many subjects which they didn’t succeed in.
The falsification incident caused a widespread discontent in Deir Ezzor province, as many believed that the falsification would not have been possible if there had been no corruption in the Assad regime’s institutions.
