Today, travelers leaving Deir Ezzor city were surprised that the Assad forces on the city outskirts checkpoints were checking for youths and men within the age of the military service and the reserve service, preventing them from leaving Deir Ezzor province.
D24 correspondent said:
“The checkpoints were more concerned with men aged between 30 and 40, so everyone within the age group was returned and told that he had to bring a paper contains an exceptional permit from the governor to be allowed to leave Deir Ezzor province.
Our correspondent added:
“This action of the Assad’s forces comes in a series of arbitrary measures which have been implemented by the checkpoints, especially after the Assad regime issued the decision to mobilize “the reserve” from those born in 1974 and after.
It is indicated that these measures have also affected university students, where a force affiliated with one of the security branches raided the campus of the Art Faculty of Al-Furat University in Deir Ezzor, arresting a number of university students, and then took them into forced conscription.
