Assad’s forces have managed to capture the town of Kabajib and the asphalt factory south of the city of Deir Ezzor following heavy clashes against Daesh. The gains were the result of three days of heavy clashes in which both parties sustained heavy casualties. Assad’s forces also captured the gas station and the area of Qawnass Al-Maleha west and southwest Brigade 137.
The advancement of Assad’s forces come in light of intense Russian air strikes on the front lines. The clashes south and west the city coincide with more confrontation in the cemetery area in the south and the Bughayliyah in the west, where Assad’s forces are trying to advance against the organization positions.
In other news, Assad’s forces managed to enter several shipments of food and vehicles to Brigade 137 after the opening of a route that extends from the Aadman area to the Qawnass Al-Maleha and the brigade. Colonel Jassm Al-Farij, the defense minister of the Assad regime, has arrived in the regime-held neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city today being accompanied by some officers in order to check and direct their forces on the fronts.
