Local sources told Deir Ezzor 24 network that the Assad’s forces and their militias are on high alert in Hatlah, Marrat, Khasham and Al-Salhiyah towns.
According to the same sources, the Assad’s forces brought reinforcements from several areas of Deir Ezzor to reinforce their positions in the said areas, in anticipation of any possible attack as a result of the protests taking place in the region.
Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said that the Assad’s forces closed all the roads leading to the crossings in Al-Salhiyah village, using old and burned car bodies, apparently, as a defensive measure by the forces.
It is noteworthy that activists called for protests against the Assad regime tomorrow, Friday, in Deir Ezzor countryside, in continuation of last Friday’s protests, that demanded the Assad forces and the Iranian militias leave the eastern Euphrates, during which, the protesters managed to seize two checkpoints of the Assad forces in Al-Salhiyah town, expelling the elements from them which caused confusion and a state of alert among the Assad’s forces.
