Assad regime helicopters resumed their flights from Qamishli to Deir Ezzor after they were cancelled for one week due to unstable weather conditions.
The helicopters are utilized to transport regime manpower, ammunition, weapons, fuel and food, as well the transportation of their wounded from Deir Ezzor to Qamishli for medical treatments. Sometimes, they also transport families in besieged Deir Ezzor in need of urgent surgeries. Assad’s forces also use them to bring spare parts, cigarettes and food, which they sell for high prices in the black markets of the province.
The helicopters also transport civilians who pay a 600000 SYP bribe to regime commanders in order to be transported from Deir Ezzor to Qamishli and then Damascus.
