Unknown men have spray-painted anti-Daesh graffiti on the walls of some buildings in the city of Al-Bukamal, Deir Ezzor’s eastern countryside. The message of the graffiti, signed by “Ahrar Al-Bukamal”, threatens the organization with an upcoming offensive to liberate the city.
This is not the first time such graffiti appear on walls in Al-Bukamal, as people affiliated with the New Syrian Army have done the same things for several times before.
The New Syrian Army has launched an offensive to capture the city of Al-Bukamal from the Syrian Badiyah before. However, it failed to attain its objectives, despite the fact that the army captured a strategic location near the city.
