A number of brokers working with Assad regime’s security branches contacted the families of the young men who were arrested for forced conscription in Al-Bughayliya and Aiyash towns west of Deir Ezzor, a source told Deir Ezzor 24 network.

According to the source, the brokers offered to recruit their sons into the National Defense Militia (NDF) instead of Assad’s forces, in exchange for 5 million Syrian pounds per person.

By joining the NDF Militia, young men can escape being pursued by Assad’s forces, and also can serve in their own villages.
