Three members of the Qatirji militia were killed in an attack launched by unknown gunmen last night on an oil well south of Deir Ezzor, according to a correspondent for DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that gunmen attacked, this morning, with machine guns an oil well near the Kharata oil field south of Deir Ezzor, which is guarded by members of the “Qatirji” militia.
He added that the attack resulted in the death of 3 members, and the gunmen set fire to the field and targeted oil tanks near the well, which led to their destruction.
Oil wells and oil fields in Deir Ezzor are exposed from time to time to attacks, often carried out by ISIS.
