D24 exclusive:
Local sources revealed to D24 network that Daesh receives large sums of money from the oil fields in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, despite the fact that it does not control them.
The sources pointed out that the SDF has recently opened the way for local people to invest in the oil fields in east of Deir Ezzor in exchange for agreed amounts between the local investors and the leadership of the SDF.
The sources confirmed that the process of investment in the oil fields requires the payment of royalties to Daesh in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, which threatens the investors to burn the fields, unless they pay money to the organisation in Deir Ezzor countryside.
The sources added that the investor of Al-Sayjan oil field in the Deir Ezzor countryside was surprised by Daesh cells in the field, threatening him to burn the field unless approximately 1,000 US dollars are paid daily.
Daesh guarantees the investors that the fields are not to be burnt, and that they are allowed to work with the SDF in exchange for paying the organization money for that.
And about how Daesh receives the money, the sources confirmed that Daesh cells get paid by the fields owners, either in some villages, away from the eyes of the people, or inside the field.
