Al-Mayadeen City Council in Deir Ezzor Governorate issued an official warning to immediately evacuate all encroachments from the Corniche sidewalk and the Euphrates River sanctuary, within the area extending from the Rabwa cafeteria to the water unit, announcing that they will be allocated entirely to families, with seizure measures and legal accountability being taken against violators.
The council explained that the decision came in response to complaints and demands submitted by the city’s residents, against the backdrop of repeated harassment of families, the absence of a safe environment for children and women, in addition to the occurrence of repeated quarrels and fights that affected public peace and distorted the civilized appearance of the area, which is the main outlet for the city’s residents.
The City Council stressed that the decision aims to restore discipline to the Corniche and provide a safe and suitable environment for families, stressing the need to implement evacuation procedures immediately and without any delay, and to take legal action against anyone who violates the instructions.
