Today, Tuesday, the people of Al-Bassirah city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside handed over dozens of oil tanker lorries to the Syrian democratic forces after seizing them for hours in the area.
According to sources for D24 network, the handover took place this afternoon, after seizing the tanker lorries for a few hours in protest against the robbery carried out against a jeweler in the city yesterday, where the SDF elements were accused of being behind the operation.
The sources indicated that the SDF reached an agreement with elders from Al-Bassirah city to form a committee to investigate the robbery carried out against a jeweler in the city and reach a solution that would end the strike in the east of Deir Ezzor.
It is indicated that this morning, Tuesday, the people of Al-Bassirah city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside began a general strike in protest against the deteriorating security situation in the region.
It is noteworthy that the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor suffers from deteriorating security conditions amid calls on the SDF to provide security and hold accountable the thieves.
