A private source guarding the Al-Taym field told DeirEzzor24 that Liwa al-Quds militia and Iranian militias were behind the attack on oil workers’ buses yesterday, contrary to the Assad regime narrative that Daesh was behind it.
According to the source, the Al-Taym oil field has been under the control of the Russian forces since 2019 through the Arvada Company, which is affiliated with the Al-Qatirji Group.
The source said that there is a battalion of the Russian First Division in the field equipped with huge radar and heavy weapons consisting of cannons, tanks, medium weapons and thermal cameras with a range of 15 km in addition to an advanced communications system, surrounded by 12 points of the Qaterji militia (Special Tasks Brigade) with a strength of 150 personnel equipped with medium weapons. 14.5 caliber with modern binoculars surrounding the points of the field at a distance of 200 meters, in addition to 23 mm machine guns concentrated on the dirt fence of the field.
At a distance of 500 meters from the field, there are several points of Liwaa al-Quds militia affiliated with the Russian forces, led by the so-called (Cameroonian) and in contact with the Russian protection network within the field, while the points of the 17th Infantry Division are spread at a distance of 1 km from the field, and the road to the field is fully secured in addition to the escort cars. of oil tanks that occupy the road around the clock.
The incident of targeting the three buses, in which 9 employees of the field were killed, took place around 7:30 am. The Assad regime attributed it to ISIS through a tight ambush in al-Dhabab, which contradicts the strict security reality at the field by the al-Qaterji militia and the Russian forces.
