Today, Friday, the Internal Security Forces in Raqqa Governorate carried out a security campaign in Al-Kasrat area, south of the city, aimed at limiting the spread of weapons and their indiscriminate use among civilians.
The campaign came against the backdrop of increasing manifestations of gunfire during events and celebrations, which caused a state of anxiety among residents, amid repeated demands to put an end to this phenomenon.
During the campaign, the Internal Security Forces were able to confiscate dozens of individual weapons, in addition to arresting a number of arms and ammunition dealers in the Al-Kasra area, located on the banks of the Euphrates River.
According to local sources, the security move came in response to dozens of complaints submitted by residents during the recent period, due to the spread and use of weapons in the area, and the danger this poses to the lives of civilians.
