The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Raqqa Governorate conducted intensive inspection tours of the markets and shops selling clothes and shoes in the city, coinciding with the day of the Eid al-Fitr pause and the noticeable increase in demand from citizens to buy Eid clothes and supplies.
These inspection campaigns resulted in the organization of 18 food violation notes against a number of violators, with violations ranging from failure to clearly announce prices to failure to circulate regular invoices, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
These tours come within the framework of the Directorate’s ongoing efforts to ensure fair prices and prevent any attempts to exploit consumers during the peak purchasing period accompanying Eid, which contributes to preserving the joy of Eid and guarantees citizens’ right to obtain their needs at announced and transparent prices and regular commercial procedures.
The Directorate confirmed the continuation of its monitoring campaigns on various markets and commercial events during the Eid days, calling on citizens to report any supply violations through available means to ensure that markets operate smoothly and fairly.
