Deir Ezzor Governorate announced the launch of a comprehensive cleaning campaign in the city of Albukamal on Sunday, October 18, 2026, under the slogan «We will make it more beautiful with our own hands», with the participation of the district administration, the city council, and members of the local community, as part of efforts aimed at improving the service status and enhancing the civilized appearance of the city.

The campaign targets various neighborhoods of Albukamal and its main and side streets, by carrying out extensive cleaning work, removing random waste dumps and transporting them, which contributes to reducing pollution, improving the general environment, and enhancing the level of cleanliness in the city.

The work also includes cleaning public facilities and road islands, and removing weeds from them, as part of an integrated plan aimed at improving the public landscape and giving a cleaner and more organized appearance to the streets and neighborhoods.

The campaign, with broad community participation, emphasizes the importance of cooperation between the concerned authorities and the residents in maintaining public cleanliness and enhancing shared responsibility towards the environment and public facilities, which will positively reflect on the service status and quality of life in the city.
