The Fourth Division carried out a campaign of raids and arrests at the water crossings in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor (west of Deir Ezzor), affecting a number of civilians coming from SDF-controlled areas, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the arrests came under the pretext of crossing from unlicensed crossings, especially smuggling and trade, as the people were directed to cross from the Dhiban-Al-Mayadin crossing east of Deir Ezzor, as it is licensed for citizens to cross between the two sides.
He added that detainees at the Fourth Security are subjected to extortion and theft of mobile phones, and then transferred to the Military Security branch in Deir Ezzor to write a pledge not to pass through these crossings.
It is worth noting that the Fourth Division has carried out such a campaign several times and at different times during the past days, with the aim of limiting the crossing of civilians and separating them from the smuggling crossings.
