Yesterday, the city of Al-Mayadeen witnessed security tension due to a quarrel and verbal altercation between members of the Fourth Division and members of the Revolutionary Guards militia, according to what the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network reported.
Our correspondent said that the reason for the quarrel was disagreements over determining control over the river crossings.
Despite the Fourth Division’s control over most of the crossings, the most important crossings used to smuggle contraband, fuel, and various types of goods are under the control of the Revolutionary Guards militia.
Commanders from the Revolutionary Guards militia and the Lebanese Hezbollah militia intervened in the dispute to prevent the Fourth Division from controlling the river crossings and controlling smuggling operations.
