DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
The amount of wheat received by the Assad regime amounted to approximately 13,000 tons out of the season’s estimate of 42,000 tons from the wheat-cultivated area of 21,600 hectares in areas controlled by the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor.
The DeirEzzor24 network local reporter said that the price of the “burlap” bag for wheat rose to 25 thousand liras and 22 thousand for the used one.
This year’s wheat season did not reach the aspirations of farmers, and in the SDF-controlled areas of Deir Ezzor, farmers’ strikes are still continuing due to the Autonomous Administration’s pricing of wheat at 31 US cents per kilo.
