DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The areas of Deir Ezzor controlled by the SDF are witnessing a state of alert following the bombing that struck the “Al-Hunaidi” checkpoint in the town of Al-Shuhail, east of Deir Ezzor yesterday, and led to the killing and wounding of more than 10 SDF members.
The bombing, which the SDF announced was the result of a car bomb detonated by ISIS at the checkpoint, was not the only one that caused the death of SDF members. Rather, it announced that Assad’s forces bombed the area while evacuating the bodies and wounded, killing one of its members by Assad’s shells and leaving others wounded.
In turn, the SDF bombed the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, with artillery and mortar shells, last night, in response to the bombing by Assad’s forces, which resulted in the injury of 3 people who were taken to Al-Assad Hospital in the city of Deir Ezzor.
As a result of these events, the SDF instructed the notables of Deir Ezzor to inform the people to prevent approaching the banks of the Euphrates River on foot or by motorcycles and cars, to prohibit wearing the mask, and to report any suspicious person.
The SDF imposed a partial curfew in the markets of the towns of Al-Hawaij and Dhiban, east of Deir ez-Zor, prevented shop owners from opening their shops, and reinforced all its checkpoints in the region with strict security measures.
