Iranian militias take control of a building on the banks of the Euphrates in Al-Mayadeen city

Iranian militias seized a building prepared as a canteen and hall, on the banks of the Euphrates River in the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.

According to the reporter, the Iranian militias turned the building into a point fully under their supervision, and turned it into one of the crossing points of the Euphrates River into SDF-controlled areas.

The Iranian militias control many smuggling points and crossings in the region, through which they earn huge sums of money.

The Iranian militias take royalties from boat owners in exchange for allowing them to work, transporting residents between the areas under their control and the areas controlled by the SDF, east of Deir Ezzor.
