DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, is witnessing a food crisis due to a shortage of flour due to the Assad regime, according to a local reporter of DeirEzzor24.
According to him, the Assad regime withdrew wheat from its warehouses in Al-Mayadeen and transferred it to other governorates. This led to an increase in demand for flour, and as a result, the amount of bread allocated to the people was reduced to one sheaf per family per day.
The reasons for the Assad regime’s transfer of flour from Al-Mayadeen warehouses to other governorates are not known.
