Members of an armed group headed by Fadi Al-Afis assaulted a police officer, the head of the external department, by beating and removing his gun at the Hatla school in northeastern Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
He said that the attack took place while the students were taking the basic education exam in the town of Hatla, northeast of Deir Ezzor.
He added that following the incident, all police and order-keeping patrols stormed the town of Al-Hussainiya and arrested a number of the group’s members.
This is the second time that a quarrel occurred in Hatla schools, as the sons of commanders in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards assaulted an officer and injured him in the hand.
