DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The correspondent of the DeirEzzor 24 network said that the Directorate of Agriculture in Deir Ezzor began the process of cutting down the trees of the Euphrates Agricultural Center under the pretext that they were dry.
Our correspondent added that the engineer “Fouad al-Abdoun”, director of agriculture in Deir Ezzor, stated that the process of cutting trees, which was estimated at thousands and described as huge, was carried out in coordination with higher authorities and under the supervision of the forestry police to sell them according to the contract system.
It is worth noting that the firewood trade began to gain popularity with the advent of winter and the scarcity of fuel in the areas controlled by the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor.
Al-Abdoun, the well-known director of agriculture in Deir Ezzor, had obtained his position after paying huge bribes in coordination with the Secretary of the Baath Party branch, “Raed al-Ghadban”.
