DeirEzzor24 exclusive report;
The prices of basic and food items, vegetables and fruits increased by more than 30% in the last two days, in the Assad regime-controlled areas of Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the reason for this rise is due to the collapse of the Syrian pound and its reaching five thousand against the dollar, in addition to the storage and monopoly of materials by wholesalers amid the absence of oversight in the areas controlled by the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor.
Prior to this rise, the majority of the people in the Assad regime-controlled areas of Deir Ezzor suffered from a severe economic crisis due to the outrageous high prices and low wages.
