The Minister of Agriculture of the Assad regime, “Mohammed Hassan Qatana”, dismissed the director of agriculture in Deir Ezzor, the engineer “As’ad Al-Toukan”, by a decision he issued today, and assigned the engineer “Fouad Ahmed Abdoun” to manage it.
According to a private source, the dismissal came as a result of the shortage of wheat supplies in the province, which did not achieve the estimated percentage, and the inability of the Agricultural Committee to achieve 60,000 tons of wheat.
The so-called “Iranian pilgrims” took control of the wheat crops in Deir Ezzor this year, and worked to smuggle them to Iraq, disregarding the decisions and recommendations of the Assad regime.
