The police command in Deir Ezzor arrested, a few days ago, “Ahmed al-Kharaba” (nicknamed “Abu Yazan”) by order of the governor of Deir Ezzor, “Fadel al-Najjar”, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the arrest came on charges of smuggling wheat and failing to supply the crop to regime centers.
“Al-Kharaba” is a member of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Deir Ezzor, a member of Deir Ezzor City Council, a member of the Fatwa Club management, and the founder of “Al-Yazan” company for general trade and foodstuffs.
He owns an investment project for agricultural land with an area of 2,400 dunums, on the third sector, in partnership with security and other influential agencies.
The DeirEzzor24 network has recently shed light on the excesses of “ruin”, its suspicious actions, and its relations with officers and officials of the Assad regime, and Iranian figures from the militias deployed in Deir Ezzor.
