DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Private sources told DeirEzzor24 network that Iran intends to establish a Shiite religious shrine in the town of Hatla, northeast of Deir Ezzor, to make it a new shrine for Shiite pilgrims and a magnet for new converts.
According to the sources, those responsible for the construction of the shrine are promoting the idea that “Hussain passed through the areas east of the Euphrates,” so it is necessary to establish Shiite shrines and places of worship there.
It is worth noting that the Iranian militias have seized an archaeological site in the desert of the city of Al-Quriya, east of Deir Ezzor, since the beginning of their presence in the province, known as “Ain Ali” and turned it into a shrine for Shiites, where convoys of Shiite pilgrims come to it, on a daily basis, through pilgrimage offices run by personalities belonging to the Revolutionary Guards militia. They made it mandatory to pass through Ain Ali to seek blessings from the water of the spring that the site contains.
