DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Deir Ezzor 24 network learned from economic sources that the quantities of smuggled fuel oil have recently increased, mainly the smuggling operations from the town of Al-Ji’ah, which is under the control of the SDF, towards Al-Baghiliyah, where the Fourth Division’s control areas are located. It surpassed 200 to 300 barrels.
According to the sources in the al-Qatirji Group, the amount of oil extracted from the SDF areas exceeds 40 tanks per day, transported through the Raqqa roads and the ports of al-Hasakah governorate leading to the areas of the Assad regime, in addition to the Deir Ezzor river crossings.
Amidsts the fuel smuggling activity, the people of the SDF areas suffer from a shortage of fuel oil, which is needed for heating, operating agricultural engines, and generating electricity, which led to the mass demonstrations of the people of Al-Izba town, demanding the Autonomous Administration to provide fuel and prevent smuggling to Assad’s areas.
