A special official in Deir Ezzor countryside revealed to Deir Ezzor 24 network suspicious and corruption deals between the Assad forces and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the World (FAO), represented by the Syrian administrative and regional staff, with the participation of the receiving committees in the directorates of agriculture.
Those concerned tampered with the specifications of the irrigation engines, as Perkins 70 (Chinese-made irrigation engines) were sold in the villages of the countryside of Deir Ezzor at 7 million SYP for each engine, and they were received in coordination with a Lebanese company run by a businessman affiliated with Hezbollah. On the other hand, the conditions document provided that British-made Perkins 70 are worth 50 million SYP or its equivalent.
The differences in these deals go to Maher al-Assad, in coordination with representatives of the organization in Damascus, Dr. Wael Youssef and Dr. Haya Abu Assaf, the receiving committees and the directorates of agriculture in the governorates.
The suspicious deals also affect agricultural grains, fertilizers, food baskets and electric boot engines, in addition to livestock vaccinations. They also imposed on farmers to hand over large rations of food and agricultural supplies to Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor, by manipulating agricultural licenses in collusion with the Peasants’ Union and the Directorate of Agriculture.
