Today , Daesh sleeper cells launched a surprise attack on the Baqir Brigade militia positions in the deset of Deir Ezzor, as a Russian patrol was driving near the area, which was supported by Russian warplanes that flew from the Humeimi base and Deir Ezzor military airport.

The attack resulted in the death of two fighters and the injury of a number of fighters from the brigde as well as the injury of a Russian soldier and the damaging of a car belonging to the patrol. This attack came following yesterday attack in which Daesh attacked positions at the fronts of the Shulah and As-Sukhnah in the southern desert.
