Yesterday, Wednesday, an SDF patrol raided the crossing of Jadeed Bakara town, east of Deir Ezzor, and confiscated all fuel tanks intended for smuggling and cars loaded with foodstuffs and electronics of high financial value.
This coincided with the closure of the “Ashara/Daranj” crossing to the movement of the people, despite the closure of all other river crossings, with the exception of smuggling operations at high costs, as the amount of smuggling a person reaches 10,000 SYP at the “Al Buleel – Al-Sabha” crossing, while the Salhiya crossing is still Al-Bari and “Al-Shuhayl – Bikris” are under closure.
The closure of the crossings is due to demonstrations by the people of the area, in protest against the passage of Russian patrols and people who want to undergo reconciliation.
