A military security patrol assaulted people standing in a queue at the ice factory in the vicinity of the industrial high school, and dismissed them after several hours of waiting to buy ice.

The people of Al-Mayadeen city buy ice to cool water due to high temperatures and power outages for long hours, that could reach up to 10 hours, and because of that the queues are very crowded at “ice” factories.

Ice is sold at 5000 Syrian pounds per bar, due to the lack of cooling means, and the merchants exploitation of people’s need in the region. Patrols of Assad regime and its institutions abuse, blackmail and harass people at bakeries, ice factories and checkpoints, to show their influence and control over the region.
