The residents of the city of Deir Ezzor continue to suffer due to poor bread in most bakeries in the city, amidst deteriorated life and service conditions.

The Assad regime’s Provision Directorate that is the concerned side neglects the matter deliberately and exploits the situation to blackmail owners of bakeries. The directorate stops reports against owners of bakeries in return for money or upon nepotism and bribes to evade responsibility. This entrenches corruption in the area and aggravates civilians’ crises.
